What Is EPDM Rubber?

EPDM rubber is a synthetic rubber often used in sealing applications, roofing membranes and other applications where weather resistance is desired. This rubber has excellent resistance to UV exposure, ozone, and extreme temperature ranges, making it ideal for outdoor use. EPDM rubber also resists water absorption.

Does EPDM Rubber Contain Latex?

EPDM rubber doesn't contain latex. Latex is a natural product derived from the sap of certain trees and plants. EPDM rubber is made from synthetic polymers and contains no natural products.

How Durable Is EPDM Rubber and What Type of Weather Can It Withstand?

EPDM rubber is very durable and can withstand extreme temperatures, sunlight, ozone, and water. This type of rubber is often used in outdoor applications where it is exposed to the elements.
